Important People of the Revolution
George Washington
Chosen as the Commander in Chief of the newly organized Continental Army. He previously had experience in the French & Indian War, winning his first skirmish, but later being pushed back. His strength came mainly from his ability to keep the army together, not being able to draw up strategies. When given an army of poorly trained and equipped soldiers, Washington was able to have them hold up still.
